Ceasar, Marly, Alah & Cyrax | Still Image Photography | New Mexico Family Photographer

When I capture LOVE during a family session, I feel like I did my job!  I feel like I did that for this family!!  Ceasar, Marly, Alah & Cyrax were such a blast to take photos of.  They have such a beautiful little family!  Alah was the cutest and at the beginning of the session she wasn't too sure what the heck I was doing, but by the end of the session, she loved the camera!  She danced, she laughed, she played.....and it was such a blast to watch her be.... Alah!

Thanks again Ceasar & Marly for letting me take photos of your beautiful family!

Don't forget to leave some love below!  :)

My Birthday Princess....

"Happy Birthday to you...Happy Birthday to you....Happy Birthday to Elizabeth. Happy Birthday to you!"

Today is a special day. 16 years ago the most beautiful, amazing girl was born!

She(as well as my other two children)  have filled my life with so much love and joy each and every day!  The time has gone by too fast and I can't believe she is 16 years old!  I remember like it was yesterday that I was hauling her car seat around. Seeing her little smile as she looked up at me filled with love because she knew I was her Mom.  Now, here she is celebrating her 16th birthday and learning each day how to take on the world. Thanks for all the sweet memories you have given me!

To the World

You may be just another girl

But to me

Baby, you are the World

Happy Birthday, Elizabeth!

With Love

Here is a short video I made for my daughter's birthday.  It's about our girl's day that we had at the vintage store where we bought her dress.  I also posted more photos from her session.  Make sure to watch all the way to the end!  <3

Victoria's Session | Still Image Photography | New Mexico Senior Portrait Photographer

Let me just start off by saying that I am very impressed by this girl and how well she did during her photo session.  It was COLD!  And the wind was horrible, but she did it! And she did GREAT!

Thanks again Victoria for letting me take your senior photos. You are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!  Good luck to you!!!

Check out her photos below from her session and make sure to leave some love.

Goodbye Christmas break, Hello real world......

Christmas break has been nice and I'm really sad that it will be over in two days. AND...even though it wasn't really a break from work, it was nice not having to wake up early to get the kids to school. Plus, since I haven't had to drive the kids around for their after school activities, I have had a little bit of time to read(a non-photography related book) and watch a few movies.

If you haven't read Talent is Overrated by Geoff Colvin. Read it now! :)

And if you want to watch a movie that is really really good, but sad(I cried for a full 30 minutes...no joke). Watch Hachi. I love that movie.

My whole body is filled with gratitude for the time spent with my family for the past two weeks. Actually, the whole year of 2012 was AMAZING and I am ready for another great year! A new beginning, a fresh start, new possibilities and also new challenges.

And since every post is better with a photo, I took this one today of my beautiful daughter Elizabeth. xoxo

A snow of a day....

Woke up to snow today. Beautiful.white.snow. And instead of cuddling up under my blanket with the heater on full blast, I decided to go out and take some photos. My whole family came along with me....which is always better than going alone. I think they were just very bored of being home because they usually don't like to come with me when I take photos. They say "It's boring". ha!

The first photo was taken at the lost bridge. I think I could have taken a much better photo, but my husband decided to tell me, "Don't get too close to the edge, you might slip on the ice and fall over." So I thought twice about getting too close to the edge. It was fun though!

The other three photos were taken in spring canyon. I went out there to get a photo of the mountains, but as we got closer, the roads got worse. I decided it might not be the best idea to go up the hill. My daughter said, "Mom, if you go up there it may be the last photo you take". LOL! So, I decided to take some snapshot photos of other things that I found interesting or pretty. We thought the sign with the cow/u.f.o. was hilarious. We tried to scare the kids and told them about how this is the spot where the u.f.o.'s land on days like today. Didn't work. ;)

The last photo on this blog is of ME! I talked my daughter into taking a quick snapshot of me. I love it. Just as much as I loved today! Hope you had a wonderful Thursday, too!
